If you no longer use your licence
If you no longer use your licence and do not wish to be charged the annual fee, you must apply to have the licence revoked, temporarily suspended, or placed in storage.
The application should be submitted well in advance, but December 31 at latest, as all licence holders with valid licences as of January 1 of each calendar year will be charged the annual fee for that calendar year. This means that an application received on or after January 1 will not be exempt from the annual fee until the following year.
While your licence is temporarily suspended, you may not exercise any of the privileges granted by the licence. You may also not undergo a proficiency check, for example, to extend a rating.
For those who no longer use their licence, the following application options are available:
- Revocation or temporary suspension of a licence at your own request
- For pilots holding a certificate under Part-FCL: Request for temporary suspension or revocation of a certificate pursuant to ARA FCL 250b
- Request for storage of a national licence
- For pilots holding a national licence: Request for the keeping of national certificates or licences
Note! The original licence must be attached to the form.
