Certificate of Conformity in electronic format – eCoC/IVI

Important information for manufacturers who have vehicle type approval granted by the Swedish Transport Agency (e5) for cars and car trailers (M, N, O).

From 5 July 2026, an obligation will be introduced for you as a manufacturer as described above that each vehicle manufactured shall be accompanied by an electronic certificate of conformity, or eCoC. The new electronic document shall be made available to the approval authority that granted the type-approval. The paper certificate of conformity shall then no longer be used, except in special cases.

Very briefly described, the manufacturer's eCoC/IVI should be stored in a database provided by the Swedish Transport Agency and from there other authorities should retrieve your eCoC, for example for registration.

This means that you as a manufacturer need to create system support that can create eCoC/IVI and then make these available to the Swedish Transport Agency's database.

To do this, you as a manufacturer need to connect to the Eucaris system. To be able to connect, you must select one, or more, national access points (NAP) to Eucaris. It is important to know that Sweden will not have a NAP and you will therefore need to choose a different route to the Swedish Transport Agency's database.
