If you no longer use your license
If you no longer use your license and do not wish to be charged the annual fee, you must apply to have the license revoked, temporarily suspended, or placed in storage.
The application should be submitted well in advance, but December 31 at latest, as all license holders with valid licenses as of January 1 of each calendar year will be charged the annual fee for that calendar year. This means that an application received on or after January 1 will not be exempt from the annual fee until the following year.
While your license is temporarily suspended, you may not exercise any of the privileges granted by the license. You may also not undergo a proficiency check, for example, to extend a rating.
For those who no longer use their license, the following application options are available:
- Revocation or temporary suspension of a license at your own request
- For pilots holding a certificate under Part-FCL: Request for temporary suspension or revocation of a certificate pursuant to ARA FCL 250b
- For air traffic controllers: Begäran om tillfälligt upphävande eller återkallande av flygledarcertifikat (in Swedish)
- Request for storage of a national license
- For pilots holding a national license: Begäran om förvaring av nationella certifikat eller behörighetsbevis (in Swedish)
Note! The original license must be attached to the form.
