I live in Sweden and have bought a new vehicle in Germany. It has not been registered in any country. I am going to drive it from the port at Trelleborg to my home in Storuman. Am I allowed to do this?

No, you must apply for temporary registration in order to be able to drive the vehicle before you have passed a roadworthiness test and have registered it. Otherwise, you must transport the vehicle using a trailer.

I live in Sweden and am going to rent a vehicle owned by a Germany company. May I use this vehicle in Sweden?

Yes, provided it is for temporary use. The term of hire may not exceed one year, as you, who are the person who then hires the vehicle, are regarded to be its owner.

I have dual residence, partly in Sweden and partly in France. I own a vehicle that is registered in France. I am now going to be travelling to Sweden where I will work for a period of five to six months. Can I use the vehicle in Sweden without registering

Your true place of residence must be established. Do you live in Sweden for most of the year, or in France? In both cases, your residence (at least 185 days of a calendar year) must be abroad for most of the year for your true residence to be considered to be abroad.
