Registration – ships under construction

• Form 7: APPLICATION to register ship under construction
• Report of hull and steering mechanisms, length and breadth
• Ship construction contract or other agreement, one original and one certified copy
• If the ship is being built by the owner, an affidavit confirming this
• National registration/birth certificate showing citizenship if the owner/manufacturer is a private person
• Company Registration issued by the Swedish Companies Office within the past twelve months if the owner/manufacturer is a legal person

If the ship under construction was started in a foreign country, the following documents are also required for registration:

• Proof of deregistration if the ship under construction was previously registered in the former home country.
• Affidavit stating that the ship under construction was not registered in the former home country as well as investigation of previous owners of the ship under construction.
• Company Registration issued by an authority within the past twelve months or legalization documents done by authorities that proves the seller’s authorisation if the seller is a legal person.

Change of ownership – ship under construction

• Form 8: APPLICATION to record acquisition of ship under construction or part ownership of ship under construction
• Acquisition document/contract – one original and one certified copy
• National registration document or birth certificate (private person) or Company Registration issued by the Swedish Companies Office within the past twelve months (legal person)

Deregistration - ship under construction

• Form 9: APPLICATION to deregister ship under construction
• Company Registration issued by the Swedish Companies Office within the past twelve months (legal person)
• Company Registration issued by an authority within the past twelve months or legalization of documents done by authorities (foreign legal person)
• Mortgage deeds and a written request from the owner that the liens be cancelled

Transfer from ship construction register to ship register:

• Form 10: APPLICATION to register a ship, including transfer from the ship construction register to the ship register
