TSI for high-speed has been revised and came in force 2008. Originally decided EU in May 2002 TSI:s for Directive 96/48/EG for high-speed lines and high-speed trains and came in force december 2002. The TSI:s for high-speed railways apply to new construction, rebuild construction and upgrading of the high-speed network and high-speed trains (maximum speed above 190 km/h).
In Sweden, the following lines are classed as high-speed lines according category II and III (category I do not at present exist in Sweden):
- Malmö - Stockholm - Sundsvall
- Malmö - Göteborg - (Oslo)
- Göteborg - Stockholm including Karlstad - Laxå

This revised TSI Control Command and Signalling is a merger between TSI for high speed and conventional railway systems and replaces the today valid TSI Control Command and Signalling for conventional railway system 2006/679/EC and TSI Control Command and Signalling for high speed railway system 2006/860/EC.
A new specific case for Sweden has been inserted that makes it possible even after 2012-11-07 to install 2W GSM-R terminals. This applies to existing types as well as new authorised types. Recommendations in annex A are deleted. Annex B with national class B systems is deleted.

The latest annex A is valid for subsystems and constituents with EC-certificates signed after 1 April 2010. Older versions of annex A are valid for older subsystems, but they can also be used for subsystems in projects which was in an advanced state of development 1 April 2010.
