Names of operating stations

It is important for railway safety that every operating station has its own unique name and abbreviation. This, combined with good conversation discipline, will ensure that no misunderstandings arise in communication between signal control centres and operators along the line. The Swedish Transport Agency decides on names and abbreviations after consultation with local and regional interested parties.
