Applicants may submit an application for approval with the aid of the guide and using the forms that have been produced. The submitted documentation may be more or less detailed, depending on the complexity of the system. In specific cases, the content of the document required by the Swedish Transport Agency can be considerably simplified. It is always a good idea to consult the Agency when submitting an application. The application do not have to be complete to been sent in to the Agency.
It is important for applicants to get in touch with the Agency at an early stage to discuss how the process will be conducted from then on. Initial contact may be made in the simplest manner, for instance in the form of a telephone call, an e-mail or a letter, in which the applicant announces his intention to develop a new subsystem or modify an existing one.
The Agency and the applicant should conduct a running dialogue during the course of the project. This will create good continuity in the approval process. This makes the work of the applicant and the Agency easier and shortens the processing time.
Overview of forms
The overview of forms lists the existing approval forms and explains which form should be used in a particular case. To use a form, save it to your hard disk and open it from there. Completed forms can be sent to the Agency by e-mail.
